Did you know it’s takes up to eight different tradespeople to renovate a bathroom? These include:
- Builders
- Plumbers
- Electricians
- Gib fixers
- Gib stoppers/plasterers
- Painters
- Vinyl installers
- Tile installers
SmartBathrooms has spent the last six years perfecting the art of coordinating these tradespeople so that your bathroom renovation runs smoothly and that each stage of the process is carried out to the highest of standards.
All our tradespeople are experienced and qualified under the law. Some of them have been doing their respective trades for the best part of two decades.
Renovating a typical bathroom

Modest and luxury bathrooms
Week 1
- Old bathroom fittings and linings are removed
- Pre-plumbing (for showers/vanities, etc) and pre-wiring (for lighting/heating, etc) is completed
- Gib linings are installed
- Gib stopping and plastering takes place (this takes 3-4 days as plaster needs time to dry properly)
Week 2
- Plaster is finally sanded and painting begins (generally finished in 2 days)
- Flooring (vinyl or tiles) is installed along with any wall tiling
- Shower, vanity and toilet are installed
- Final plumbing and electrical connections are made, and…
The bathroom is finished!
